In the context of CAPES-PRINT/UFRPE PROGRAM, the Environmental Engineering Graduate Program of Rural Federal of Pernambuco University promotes the An Collaborative Research and Course: the vegetal roughness in rivers as a tool to control fluvial erosion and pollutants transport during the November, 18 – 22 period. Professor Jose Ramon Barros Cantalice applied the proposal of this course and approved by the Capes-Print/UFRPE Program, to the possibility that the Environmental Engineering Graduate Program host the Donatella Termini as Visiting Professor. Professor Donatella Termini of Palermo University, Italy that has an academic performance on fluvial hydraulics, is entirely relevant to objectives of the CAPES-PrInt UFRPE Program to promote the internalization of the Graduate Studies at Rural Federal of Pernambuco University.
As well as the Professor Donatella Termini of Palermo University is a Civil Engineer that works in water resources, more specifically, in fluvial hydraulics and sediment transport under vegetative patch effect that generates resistance hydraulic. The outstanding Dr. Professor Termini has a consolidated resume, and had been published more than a hundred scientific publications in the following research areas of common interest in Environmental Engineering: River morphological response - Local scour - Evolution and stability of meandering rivers - Sediment transport - River plane-form evolution - River re-naturalization - Vegetation effects - River hydrodynamic response - Secondary flows - Flood mitigation - Water network simulation - Water consumption models.
